His Legacy Set in Motion
George W. Gillemot was a WWII veteran, aviator, and entrepreneur who knew firsthand that hard work and curiosity could take people as far as they wanted to go.
He saw a future where northern Nevada’s young visionaries led global advancements in aviation, drone, and aerospace from their own backyard. Because of his generosity, that future is no longer just a vision — it is already being built.
There can be no doubt that the space frontier is going to be probed for many years to come. That is going to take some very qualified engineers, along with many very brave and well-educated space vehicle personnel. Who will train these people? Where will the expanding aeronautical and aerospace production factories be located? Why not all of that right here in Northern Nevada?
